2000-year-old Roman mosaic washed by the waters of the mighty river Euphrates in the ancient city of Zeugma in Turkey.
It was discovered in 2000 in a Roman villa of the ancient city during rescue excavations and it is thought to date from the 1st century CE.

Korea’s Kompsat-2 satellite captured this image over the sand seas of the Namib Desert. The blue and white area is the dry river bed of the Tsauchab. Black dots of vegetation are concentrated close to the river’s main route, while salt deposits appear bright white.

The South Manitou Lighthouse is a real keeper. It helped guide ships in the Manitou Passage to safety during storms. The Manitou Passage, between Point Betsie and North Manitou Island, is one of the most dangerous passages in the Great Lakes.

Mount Sneffels is the highest summit of the Sneffels Range in the Rocky Mountains of North America. The prominent 14,158-foot fourteener is located in the Mount Sneffels Wilderness of Uncompahgre National Forest, 6.7 miles west by south of the City of Ouray in Ouray County, Colorado, United States.
Starting in June, the fields of Colorado blue columbine decorate high elevations at Rocky Mountain National Park. A hike to Sky Pond begins from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead and rewards adventurers with striking views of jagged cliff faces that rise dramatically from the fields of wildflowers.
To enter the park between May 28 and October 11 requires two things: a Timed Entry Permit or a reservation with a service, plus a Park Pass or Entrance Fee.
